In 1987, in an apartment in Nashville Tenn., I wrote the lyrics to “Two of a Kind Workin’ on a Full House” This song was one of the easiest songs to write because I was remembering my Mom & Dad and the way I grew up.  The full house I was writing about consisted of 5 musically talented brothers and 1 guitar-playing sister. Mom & Dad and the whole family would sing on our front porch on Sunday because the church was to far away and we didn’t have a car big enough to hold us all.  Mom & Dad died before I had all the success on this song and always wanted to see the Grand Ole Opry but unfortunately never got too.  Thanks to Garth Brooks who sang my song about my Mom & Dad at the Grand Ole Opry.  I guess they made it there after all.  May they rest in peace, forever.
